SoundHound is an AI-powered platform that helps people and businesses recognize music and use voice commands.
Key problem
Interface
UI and navigation lack intuitiveness.
Minimal AI-driven personalization weakens user relevance.
Music discovery and engagement feel less seamless and efficient.
As a result, the SoundHound app is overshadowed by other music recognition apps.
Branding
Doesn’t feel like an AI-driven company.
Lacks a futuristic and tech-forward presence.
The logo doesn’t feel like a sound related platform.
Rebrand strategy
Inherent advantage
With deep AI expertise, SoundHound has built a strong product foundation, and the app already offers AI-powered voice search, hum-to-search recognition, LiveLyrics with real-time sync, and hands-free music interaction—opening broader opportunities for future growth.
What if…
The platform can recommend music more effectively by going beyond preference-based algorithms to include real-time, context-aware signals such as weather, location, and mood, etc.
Outcome
Interaction redesign & Rebranding
Reimagined music search and future playback interactions, established a clear color and icon system, and refreshed the brand with bold visuals and motion.
